Yet More Comment Spam Blathering

I’m damn sick of comment spam. To that end, I’ve set Mephisto to turn off commenting after 3 months and disabled comments for all articles older than that. You can always email me, it’s my first name at my last name dot net.

    I’m not sure if the comment section allows for HTML. But I thought this was almost funny, so I just had to do it.

    I like how this post itself is covered with comment spam.

    Perhaps you could regex out anybody with text like square-bracket “url” equals-sign ?

    Evan: it looks like my spam filtering stuff is timing out when trying to talk to akismet, and letting stuff through. Comments that are identical to the ones appearing are being caught at different times, so I can’t think of another explanation.

    Mephisto, as far as I know, doesn’t yet support blacklisted regexes… I should add it.
